Do you prefer a larger festival type show or a more traditional type of show?

Drive A: They are both cool in their own way, festivals are great because you can see so many shows as a fan but other shows for building a bigger fan base.

Pat Seals/Flyleaf: Personally, I like the festivals: early set times, chances to see a bunch of bands, and usually more excited crowds.

Brad Arnold/3DD: I guess I prefer the traditional type show festival shows are too much chaos.

Dave Agoglia/Rev Theory: Both types of shows are fun to play. Traditional shows are fun because they are a little more intimate, but festivals are always a good time. You get to play in front of a large crowd and you get to see all the other bands perform.

Richard Patrick/Filter: I just like performing… The main difference for me between festivals and headlining gigs is the length of the set. At a festival, we basically have 40 minutes to deliver the hits… at a headlining show, we can play for 2 hours or more and delve deeper into our catalog. But, gotta tell you, either type of show is rewarding. I’m just happy to be playing with Filter again.

What two bands are you most excited about seeing /sharing the event with?

Drive A: STP and tie between Serj Tankian and Killswitch Engage.

Pat Seals/Flyleaf: Seether, of course- good people, great band. Black Tide & Sevendust RULE!

Dave Agoglia/Rev Theory: I am really looking forward to seeing Papa Roach. We got to tour with them this summer and they put on a killer show every night. I am also looking forward to seeing Kid Rock. He is such an amazing performer and always puts on a great rock show. Unfortunately we won't be able to see STP play because we have a show on Saturday. We were all really looking forward to seeing them play again.

Richard Patrick/Filter: I’m looking forward to seeing Stone Temple Pilots. As you know, Robert and Dean and I were in Army of Anyone together and I’m excited to see them again. I also can’t wait to hook up with Disturbed… We went to Kuwait together earlier this year to perform at Operation Myspace and shared a life-changing experience. So, it will be nice to see David and the gang again.

If you weren’t in a signed and touring band what else would you be doing?

Drive A: We aren’t signed yet or touring , just play gigs when we get them. But I’d be surfing whenever I get free time.

Pat Seals/Flyleaf: Blockbuster by day, starving visual artist by night.

Brad Arnold/3DD: If I wasn't in a signed/touring band, I would be trying to get IN a signed/touring band.

Dave Agoglia/Rev Theory: We have been doing this for so long that I really don't know what I would be doing.

Richard Patrick/Filter: If you weren’t in a signed, touring band what else would you like to be doing?
I can see myself scoring for films and television or composing for video games… I would also like to be able to spend more time with my family.

What is the best thing an audience can do to make your night great?

Drive A: MOSH PIT!!

Pat Seals/Flyleaf: When I see them sing the lyrics with a look on their face that lets us know that they understand what the song is about; it helps us connect with the reason we started doing this. Not throwing stuff at us is a plus, too.

Brad Arnold/3DD: They can sing my own words back to me so loud that I can't even hear myself singing!

Dave Agoglia/Rev Theory: One thing that can make my night great is when someone who has never heard of us tells us that they really enjoyed our performance. There is nothing better than making new fans after you play a show.

Richard Patrick/Filter: What is the best thing an audience can do to make your night great?
Absorb and react… I love an audience that goes CRAZY!!!! I feed off that intensity level… Most of all, I want everyone to have a good time.
